In 2018 for the second time running the Component Award will be awarded for ventilation solutions for residential buildings. You can join till 30 November.
The housing sector is once again experiencing steady growth after years of stagnation. The current Component Award will therefore concentrate on cost-effective ventilation solutions for new residential constructions. The winners will be awarded and presented at the 22nd International Passive House Conference 2018 in Munich.
The Passive House Insitute is looking for solutions with both low investment costs and a high level of energy efficiency.
Participation is possible with all ventilation devices that have been certified by the Passive House Institute. The focus of the award lies primarily on components available for purchase. nnovative solutions are however also requested, provided that the unit complies with the legal standards and the costs are calculable. In order to develop successful overall concepts, participation from interdisciplinary teams of manufacturers, architects and ventilation designers are requested. In order to comply with the respective requirements for fire protection, it is highly recommended to involve experts, especially for centralized ventilation solutions.
The submission deadline is 30 November 2017. By this date, all relevant energy values must be available in a verified form. Certifications in process may also be considered, if independently verified energy data is already available.
Passive House Insitute is one of the 8 partners in the AZEB project.
