In a summer atmosphere 19 representatives of 8 organizations in 6 countries met end June in Eindhoven in The Netherlands for a 2-day partner meeting. It was the first meeting of this 30-month project and the first time for many of them to finally meet each other in person.
Nearly a year has gone by since first consultations and discussions on joining the project and writing the project proposal together.
The team got acquainted with individual introductions. A variety of drives were shared among the partners. They turned out to be mainly societal: they want to contribute to a fair and harmonious and sustainable society with their work and specifically with this project.
Among others the task of two case studies was on the agenda. A list of possible cases was drawn up of which 2 projects of Visesa (Spain) and DNA (The Netherlands) were chosen. The project consists of desk analysis doing a detailed life cycle cost and environmental analysis, and through stakeholder collaborative method of Lean. These existing case studies will analyse possible solutions for the cost reduction of NZEB’s with RES through integrations in the complete value chain.
This task will be completed in 2017 with a public report which summarizes the results of the application of the LCC and environmental performance calculation tools in the chosen case studies of operational NZEB’s in The Netherlands and Spain. These results will also be the input for the lean analysis to be performed in other tasks.
Regarding communication and dissemination of knowledge and experience the need to really get connected, internal as well as external, was commonly shared during the meeting. The group discussed about the need to have impact and to add real value about affordable ZEB and the need to research: who are target groups and who are stakeholders. The need to (prepare) real change and reach a bigger scale in the building sector and set examples and show them were other topics.
From the meeting a short video is made with quotes of 4 participants. It gives an impression of the lively setting of this first partner meeting.
